FAQ's
Here's a few important frequently asked questions:
How do I get my inclusion (ashes, hair, fur etc) to you?
Once an order has been placed via the website I will contact you within 24hrs via the email or phone number provided explaining how and where to send the ashes.
I only request a teaspoons worth (but can work with a lot less if needed) which is enough for multiple pieces and all unused is sent back with the completed order.
I've made a breastmilk order, what do I do now?
With breastmilk orders I send out a milk collection kit which includes:
- A plastic screw-cap 5ml vial (more vials will be sent if you've ordered a large heart to hold)
- An instruction card
- A plastic baggy for extra spillage protection
- A 48hr pre-paid returns label
- A spare padded envelope
What is the jewellery made from?
> We only use high quality 925 silver and solid 9K gold metals in our jewellery. These are hallmarked if the silver is over a certain weight (all bangles, heavier ring designs etc) and all gold is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
We have two Men's Leather Bracelet designs that are made from brushed stainless steel and also the engravable keyrings are made from a strong metal alloy.
How do I get my ring size?
> I always recommend being sized at a local jewellers if possible as this is the most accurate and reliable, plus free of charge. Ring sizes must be provided as I do not work with adjustable rings.
Are chains included in the price?
> All pendants come with a 925 silver chain which is included in pricing, not extra. They can be 16" to 24" in length, 18" being the standard size.
What are the stones in the jewellery made from?
> The memorial stones are created using the best jewellery grade, high quality resin on the market imported in from Japan. It seals the ashes or hair into the setting with a crystal clear finish and mirror like shine. Much hardier than glass stones which tend to chip or crack.
How long will I be waiting for my order to arrive?
My turnaround time is currently 4-6 weeks or less but this wholly depends on whether the pieces are in stock in the right size. Gold pieces have a waiting time of 6-8 weeks due to them being made to order and then hallmarked separately.
How do I know my inclusion (ashes, hair etc) are safe?
> All DNA material is handled with the utmost care and respect. I work on one clients order at a time to avoid mix ups and to ensure the piece I’m working on is the focus. Any leftover ash, hair or fur is sent back to the client in our keepsake glass bottles with cork stopper, these are also sealed prior to sending to avoid spillages.
How do you send the order back to me?
> All completed orders are sent via Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery (for all jewellery items) or Tracked 24/48 (for keyrings/engraved pieces etc) which are insured and needs a signature on arrival. All prices quoted include this postage charge.
Do you offer discounts?
> If ordering more than 3 silver items in one order, a 10% discount is applied at checkout automatically to keep costs to yourself down (not applicable with gold pieces). There are also automatic discounts available on a minimum quantity of the ashes Hearts to Hold.
Why do you charge what you charge?
> After researching memorial jewellery continuously I do believe I am one of the cheapest, but without compromising on quality or skill. I am also VAT registered which incurs more fees with every sale I make.
