Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Welcome to Loves You Memorial Jewellery.
These Terms & Conditions explain the terms that apply when you browse our website or purchase products from us. By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms.
We have written these terms as clearly as possible because we understand that ordering memorial jewellery is a very personal experience.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. About Us
Loves You Memorial Jewellery is an independent, handmade memorial jewellery business creating personalised jewellery incorporating precious and sentimental inclusions such as cremation ashes, hair, pet fur, breastmilk and funeral flowers.
Our jewellery is individually made to order, and each memorial piece is unique.
For questions about an order or these terms, please contact us using the details provided on our Contact page.
2. Our Jewellery
Every piece of memorial jewellery is individually handmade.
Because of the handmade nature of our work, your finished piece may differ slightly from photographs shown on our website.
This can include variations in:
- Colour
- Pattern
- Opal, shimmer or mica effects
- The position and appearance of ashes or other inclusions
- Natural characteristics of the materials used
- Small variations in finish
These differences are a natural part of handmade jewellery and mean that your memorial piece is unique to you.
Where product photographs show examples of previous pieces, they should be treated as examples rather than an exact representation of the piece you will receive.
3. Memorial Inclusions
Depending on the jewellery design, we may be able to incorporate:
- Cremation ashes
- Hair
- Pet fur
- Breastmilk
- Funeral flowers
- Other sentimental inclusions by prior agreement
If you would like to include something that is not listed, please contact us before placing your order.
We reserve the right to decline an inclusion if we believe it is unsuitable for the chosen jewellery or could compromise the quality or integrity of the finished piece.
4. Sending Your Inclusion
After placing your order, you will receive instructions explaining how to send your inclusion to us.
You may send your inclusion using your own suitable packaging, or you may purchase one of our optional Inclusion Postal Kits.
We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service when sending ashes or other irreplaceable items.
Please ensure that your inclusion is securely packaged and that your order details are clearly provided.
We cannot accept responsibility for inclusions that are lost or damaged by a postal service before they reach us. We will, however, do everything reasonably possible to assist you if a problem occurs.
5. Care of Your Inclusion
We understand that ashes, hair, fur and other sentimental inclusions entrusted to us are irreplaceable.
Your inclusion will be handled with care and respect and kept securely with your individual order while your jewellery is being created.
We work carefully with each memorial order and take every reasonable precaution to prevent loss, damage or contamination.
Please only send the amount requested. We do not require large quantities of ashes.
6. Unused Ashes and Inclusions
Any unused ashes, hair or other inclusion will be carefully packaged and returned to you with your completed jewellery.
Nothing will intentionally be discarded.
7. Placing an Order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the product(s) selected.
Your order will be acknowledged by email. An order confirmation does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted if we subsequently identify an issue such as an incorrect price, unavailable product, or inability to complete the requested work.
If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund where applicable.
Please check your order carefully before completing your purchase, including:
- Jewellery design
- Metal
- Ring size
- Memorial stone colour
- Engraving
- Personalisation
- Any other options selected
We cannot be responsible for mistakes in information supplied by you, although this does not affect your statutory rights.
8. Prices and Payment
All prices shown on our website are in pounds sterling (£).
The price payable is the price displayed at the time you place your order, unless there is an obvious pricing error.
Payment must be completed through the payment methods offered at checkout.
Where applicable, delivery charges or optional extras will be shown before you complete your purchase.
9. Ring Sizes
It is your responsibility to select the correct ring size when ordering.
For the most accurate measurement, we strongly recommend having your finger professionally measured by a jeweller before placing an order.
Please do not rely solely on measurements taken from an existing ring unless you are confident that the measurement is accurate.
Because memorial jewellery is individually made, changing the size after production may not always be possible and may incur additional costs.
If you are unsure about your size, please contact us before ordering.
10. Engraving and Personalisation
Where engraving or other personalisation is available, please check all spelling, dates, names and wording carefully before submitting your order.
Personalised details are created according to the information supplied by you.
We cannot accept responsibility for errors in personalisation where the information supplied by the customer was incorrect.
If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. If production has not started, we will do our best to correct it.
11. Custom Requests
We may be able to accommodate certain custom requests or modifications to existing designs.
Please contact us before ordering if you have a specific request.
Any additional costs or changes to the estimated turnaround time will be discussed with you before the work is carried out.
We reserve the right to decline a custom request if we do not believe it can be completed safely or to an appropriate standard.
12. Turnaround Times
Our jewellery is handmade to order and is not mass-produced.
Estimated turnaround times are provided on the website or in your order information.
Turnaround times can vary depending on:
- The type of jewellery ordered
- The complexity of the design
- The number of orders currently being made
- Whether we are waiting for your inclusion
- Any agreed customisation
Where a specific turnaround time has been agreed with you, that agreed time will apply.
We will always aim to complete your order as promptly as possible while maintaining the care and quality expected of handmade memorial jewellery.
If there is an unexpected significant delay, we will contact you.
13. Delivery
Completed orders will be carefully packaged and sent using Royal Mail Next Day Delivery.
Where stated at checkout or in your order information, tracked and/or insured delivery will be used.
Delivery times provided by postal services are estimates and are outside our direct control.
Once your order has been handed to the postal service, responsibility for delays caused by that service rests with the postal service, although we will assist you with tracking and resolving delivery issues wherever reasonably possible.
14. Cancellations
Because many of our products are personalised or made specifically using your chosen design and memorial inclusion, cancellation rights may differ from those applying to standard, non-personalised goods.
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where production has not begun, we will consider your cancellation in accordance with your statutory rights and the nature of the product ordered.
Once work has begun on a genuinely personalised or bespoke item, your statutory cancellation rights may be affected.
This does not remove any rights you have where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet your statutory consumer rights.
15. Returns
If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet your statutory rights, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may ask for photographs or other information to help us understand the issue.
Where appropriate, we will offer a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with your legal rights.
Because memorial jewellery is often personalised and incorporates your own sentimental inclusion, returns for a simple change of mind may not be available where the law permits the exclusion of cancellation rights for personalised or bespoke goods.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
16. Faults and Repairs
We take great care when making and checking every piece before it is sent to you.
If you believe your jewellery has developed a fault, please contact us with your order details and photographs where possible.
Please do not attempt to repair, alter, resize or modify the jewellery yourself or have another jeweller do so before contacting us, as this may affect our ability to assess the original issue.
Where a fault is our responsibility, we will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
17. Jewellery Care
Memorial jewellery should be treated with care.
To help keep your jewellery looking its best, we recommend:
- Removing jewellery before swimming or bathing
- Avoiding prolonged contact with water
- Avoiding perfume, hairspray and harsh chemicals
- Removing jewellery before cleaning or heavy manual work
- Avoiding extreme heat
- Storing jewellery safely when not being worn
- Cleaning the metal gently using an appropriate jewellery cloth
Resin memorial stones can be scratched or damaged by abrasive materials and harsh chemicals.
Normal wear and tear, accidental damage or damage caused by inappropriate care may not be covered as a manufacturing fault.
18. Jewellery Appearance
Our memorial stones are handmade using resin and other materials appropriate to the individual design.
The appearance of your finished jewellery will depend on the inclusion supplied, the chosen colour, the design and the handmade process.
Ashes may appear differently depending on their colour, size and quantity.
We cannot guarantee that the ashes will appear in exactly the same position, shape or pattern as shown in photographs.
We will always aim to create a beautiful piece in keeping with the design selected.
19. Our Responsibility for Your Inclusion
We understand the enormous sentimental value of the materials you send to us.
While we take every reasonable precaution when handling your inclusion, we cannot guarantee that an inclusion will never be lost, damaged or altered during the handmade process.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that working with very small quantities of ashes, hair, fur, flowers or other sentimental materials carries an inherent risk.
Where possible, we recommend keeping a small amount of the original inclusion safely at home rather than sending every available piece to us.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
20. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including photographs, product descriptions, logos, branding, text, graphics and original designs, belongs to or is licensed to Loves You Memorial Jewellery unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially use our content without our prior written permission.
21. Product Availability
We do our best to keep our website accurate and up to date.
Occasionally, a particular jewellery design, colour, stone or material may become unavailable.
If an item you have ordered becomes unavailable and we cannot provide a suitable alternative, we will contact you and arrange an appropriate refund where applicable.
22. Website Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices and other information on our website are accurate.
However, colours can appear differently depending on your device or screen settings, and handmade products will naturally vary.
Minor differences between photographs and the finished product do not necessarily indicate a fault.
23. Privacy
We take your privacy seriously.
Personal information provided to us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
24. Complaints
If you have a concern about your order, please contact us first so that we have the opportunity to put things right.
We will always aim to deal with complaints fairly, respectfully and as quickly as reasonably possible.
Please provide your order number and a clear description of the issue where possible.
25. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
This includes liability for matters that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including postal delays, strikes, severe weather, natural disasters, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
26. Events Outside Our Control
Sometimes circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect our ability to fulfil an order.
These may include postal disruption, serious illness, natural disasters, significant supply-chain disruption, power or internet outages, or other unforeseen events.
If such an event affects your order, we will keep you informed and take reasonable steps to minimise any delay.
27. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, products or legal requirements.
The version that applies to your order will be the version in force when you placed your order.
The latest version will always be available on this website.
28. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer living in another part of the UK, nothing in these terms removes any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply to you under the law.
29. Contact Us
If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, an existing order, or the memorial jewellery process, please contact us through our website.
We understand that sending ashes or other precious inclusions to someone can feel daunting, and we are always happy to answer questions before you order.
